Video Dominates Web Reporting

New York, NY, March 9, 2010 – The use of video on media web sites is growing dramatically. Eighty-one percent of web media sites now use outside video content to cover stories compared to sixty-one percent one year ago. This 33 percent increase from last year is one of the highlights of D S Simon Productions second Annual Web Influencers Survey. The results have been published as a whitepaper.
 
D S Simon Productions’ surveyed nearly 300 reporters and producers for TV station websites, radio station websites and magazine and newspaper websites and web only media. The survey results show the increased placement opportunities for PR pros with Web Media (Bloggers, independent websites) and news outlets’ websites through online video.  
 
Other Key Findings:
